Sous Chef at The Alderman NYC

Renwick Hospitality Group is currently seeking a Sous Chef for The Alderman. You must be a career minded individual that is seeking to evolve into their next step. This role is ideal for Lead Line Cooks that want to take the next step, while continuing to hone their culinary skills and to eventually develop the skillset to become an Executive Sous Chef. At Renwick Hospitality Group, we value consistency and integrity. We take pride in seeing things through to the end and we do not settle for anything substandard. The Sous Chef will work directly with the Executive Chef and handle daily operations for all business outlets.  Some of these include but not limited to:

1. Managing employee accountability. I.E making sure their standards of quality are in place.
2. Training new employees with the same standards and accountability.
3. Managing inventory for day to day operations. I.E Making sure there is enough Mis en Place. 
4. Ordering 
5. Cost control.
6. Expediting.

Physical Requirements:

- 50hr work week. Full availability required. 

- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

- Must be able to lift 50lbs

- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching overhead.
