About the Job: The Critical Care Support Nurse (RN) provides expert clinical guidance and patient care to acutely ill patients. This role serves as a mentor, facilitator, and clinical expert, supporting direct care nurses and collaborating with nursing leadership to improve patient care outcomes. You’ll provide hands-on support, lead in urgent response situations, and engage in ongoing nursing education and development. What You’ll Do: Perform routine rounding for acutely ill patients to identify issues and respond accordingly. Provide expert clinical guidance and policy support to direct care nurses. Mentor and assist during emergent situations as part of the clinical care team. Offer peer support and facilitate critical event debriefings. Deliver direct nursing care for patients needing critical care interventions. Collaborate on educational and training initiatives to improve nursing practices. Maintain competence in specialized skills such as Ultrasound Guided IV Placement. Evaluate patient care outcomes and adjust strategies as necessary. Who You Are / Requirements: You have a BSN (MSN preferred) and current NH RN licensure. You bring at least five years of critical care nursing experience, with two years in a leadership role. You have expertise in clinical education, codes, and emergency response. Certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) or related specialties is a plus.
