Job Position: Special Education Teacher

Location: Near Highland Park, IL | Therapeutic Day School Setting

Pay Rate: $45$55 per hour, based on experience

Shift: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM

Description:

Birch Agency is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join one of our partner therapeutic day schools near Highland Park, Illinois. This program serves an all-male student population and is designed to support students with specialized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM

• Setting: Therapeutic Day School

• Caseload: All-male student population

• Pay Rate: $45$55 per hour, based on experience

• Start: 20252026 school year (or specify start if needed)

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement

• Experience working with students in therapeutic or highly structured settings preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction

• Implement IEP goals and accommodations

• Support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development

• Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment

• Collaborate with staff, therapists, and administration
