Special Education Teacher (ECSE) at Birch Agency

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for an Education Specialists/Special Education Teachers (ECSE) to join our team in the greater Sacramento, CA area! We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.

Job Details:

• Full-time (40 hrs/week)

• 2 sites (Sacramento and Antelope)

• Caseload: maximum 12

• Age group: Preschool (3-5 years old)

• Start: ASAP | End: June 1, 2026

• Pay starting at $55/hr

• This is a full-inclusion preschool program.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution

• Valid state license or certification for Early Childhood Special Education

• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

Responsibilities:

As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will:

• Provide direct/group instructions to students with disabilities

• Develop lesson plans/instructional material to meet needs of students IEP

• Conduct educational assessments

• Attend IEP meetings

• Assist in planning and development of IEP

• Facilitate implementation of special education services

• Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team

• Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners

• Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers and staff to support students academic success

• Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs

• Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing

• Employ techniques for positive behavioral support

• Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions
