Sr. Farm Machine Mechanic at InsideHigherEd

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Landscape Services, the Sr. Farm Mechanic plans, organizes, and directs the operation of the grounds machinery service garage. Performs service, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of grounds equipment. Diagnoses and corrects mechanical malfunctions, repairs, overhauls and rebuilds. Lubricates grounds machinery. Dismounts, repairs, and replaces tires. Makes sheet metal repairs by welding and brazing. Establishes and ensures shop safety procedures are followed and maintained. Sets up inspection and preventative maintenance schedules and ensures schedules are followed. Maintains a positive attitude for the team and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students.The full salary range for the Sr. Farm Machine Mechanic is $31.82 - $42.83 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
