Job Description
The GTM Systems Staff Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for architecture, governance, technical excellence and DevOps across our go-to-market systems. This role focuses on enabling the team to efficiently deliver scalable, maintainable solutions using appropriate technology choices and best practices for systems such as Salesforce and Workato.
What You'll Do
Architecture
Define and maintain technical architecture standards and design patterns
Establish governance frameworks to ensure appropriate use of declarative vs. programmatic solutions
Create, review and approve technical designs for major initiatives and complex problems
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce and Engineering best practices across our GTM Systems stack
Technical Leadership
Be the Technical Lead on long-term, business-critical initiatives such as Order to Cash
Design and implement solutions and POCs for our most complex problems
DevOps & Technical Infrastructure
Design and implement mature CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, ensuring deployment reliability and reducing manual overhead
Build monitoring and observability solutions
Manage technical environments and sandbox strategy
Test Automation
Establish tooling and technical foundations for quality test automation
Oversee technical implementation of test automation across frameworks such as Apex, Jest, and UI Automation tooling
Technical Debt & System Optimization
Identify and prioritize technical debt based on business impact
Architect and implement solutions to address system scaling limits
Document technical systems and architecture decisions
Team Enablement & Mentorship
Mentor engineers and admins on technical best practices
Conduct design reviews and code reviews to elevate team capability
Create technical documentation, patterns, and reusable components
Build technical team's capability to work more independently
What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of Salesforce development and architecture experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree is a plus, or equivalent work experience
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required)
Preferred Qualifications
Deep expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities (Apex, LWC, Flow, declarative tools)
Experience building out Enterprise-grade best practices and technical frameworks
Proven track record architecting scalable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions
Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control (Git, Copado, Gearset, Flosum or similar)
Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience with Workato and other integration/automation and ETL tools (Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica etc.)
Experience with Marketing Systems such as Marketo or Hubspo
Experience with other programming languages is preferred (Python, Go, C#, Java)
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects to successful completion
Strong soft and technical mentorship skills
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (preferred)
Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (preferred)
Travel & Working Conditions
Up to 10% travel for in-person team and leadership events
Reliable internet access required for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
How You'll Be Rewarded
Salary range in the US: $151,000.00 - $242,000.00A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
