Educational and Experience Requirement:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, or a related field. Master’s desirable. Two years of experience in a student services field or a related field. TRIO, federal grant experience, or experience in a related field is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Performs moderately complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning in the program. Assists the TRIO Student Support Services director with various initiatives and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. supports creating activities, services, and priorities for achieving goals of program. Presents at TSS Disposition skills seminars, workshops, and recruiting presentations. Oversees the selection and recruitment of TSS participants. Participates in strategic planning of retention strategies in TSS program and campus wide efforts through administration meetings, committees, and presentations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Communicates with other University departments, personnel, and other agencies. This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
This is a full time benefits eligible, temporary position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding. This position is expected to end on or before 08/31/2030.
