Job Description
*Position Overview*We are looking for a licensed, detail-oriented, and collaborative *Structural Engineer* to assist with evaluating, designing, and certifying structural plans for mainly residential design-build projects with some commercial occasionally. You'll work closely with our interior designers, contractors, and consultants to ensure safety, feasibility, and compliance with building codes across Nevada &/or California.*Responsibilities** Review architectural and design concepts to assess structural feasibility* Provide stamped structural drawings and calculations as required* Collaborate with the Talie Jane Interiors and Construction teams on site visits, consultations, and plan development* Recommend framing modifications, reinforcements, or load-bearing adjustments* Ensure designs comply with all applicable local, state, and federal codes* Assist in permitting processes and respond to plan check comments from building departments* Offer expertise on foundation design, seismic requirements, and structural safety*Qualifications** Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Nevada and/or California (required) with all certifications for stamping.* Minimum 3 years of residential structural engineering experience* Strong understanding of wood-framed construction, renovations, and luxury home design* Experience working with interior design or construction firms a strong plus* Proficient in structural analysis and CAD software* Excellent communication and time management skills* Reliable, responsive, and collaborative team player*Why Work With Us*At Talie Jane Interiors, we believe in partnership, professionalism and making peoples dreams come true.
