We’re seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Technician to support commercial projects in schools and hospitals across the Charleston area. This role involves installing and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cables, mounting wireless access points, and performing low-voltage work with precision and efficiency. What You’ll Do
- Pull, label, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cables according to structured cabling standards
- Perform punchdowns and terminations on patch panels and 110/66 blocks
- Mount and install wireless access points (APs) and ensure connectivity
- Interpret blueprints and low-voltage diagrams for cable routing
- Support installation of security systems, alarms, and video equipment as needed
- Conduct QA/QC cleanup and cable testing to ensure compliance
- Work in commercial environments such as hospitals and schools
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience with cable installation, termination, and punchdowns
- Ability to install and configure wireless access points
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and color codes
- Ability to interpret basic blueprints and diagrams
- OSHA certification preferred
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Basic toolset (drill, screwdrivers, PPE)
Nice to Have
- Experience with fiber installation and termination
- Familiarity with access control systems and low-voltage security devices
- Knowledge of MAC addresses, link lights, and patching cables into ports
- Certifications in OSHA or fiber optics

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
