Preferred Student Classification:Must be a current SHSU student majoring in Accounting or Business. A classification of Sophomore or Junior is required.
Nature & Purpose of Position:The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and accounting support to the Controller’s Office, located at 1 Financial Plaza. This position will report to the Administrative Coordinator, but provide specific support to the General Accounting team on a regular basis. This position operates on a year-round basis and will be between 20-28 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Job duties include:
o Enter journal vouchers in Bannero Record deposit summaries in Excelo Scan and appropriately file journal vouchers and deposit summarieso Perform basic office duties (shredding, stock printer, distribute mail, box files, etc)o Deliver paperwork to departments as needed and take deposits to Cashier’s Officeo Cover main phone line and email when Administrative Coordinator is outo Other duties as assigned
