Title: Superintendent Location: Washington, D.C. Duration: 6 months to start (potential for extension) Pay: $65-$75 an hour, OT after 40 hours Schedule: 40 hours per week (occasional OT) │ Night Shift, M–Th, 6:00 PM–4:00 AM Start Date: December 1st SUMMARY We’re seeking an experienced Night Superintendent to oversee a full administrative office renovation for a government facility. This high-visibility, multi-million-dollar project involves complete MEP, HVAC, lighting, and finish upgrades. Work will be performed off-hours due to occupancy during the day, requiring a steady, seasoned leader who can independently drive quality, safety, and schedule in a challenging night environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead all night shift field operations for the renovation of occupied administrative offices. Oversee subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, and nightly progress toward schedule milestones. Manage mechanical, electrical, and HVAC upgrade phases and ensure integration with new lighting and finish packages. Maintain strong communication with day-shift staff, owners, and project managers to ensure seamless project continuity. Enforce quality control and site safety procedures; uphold federal security and compliance standards. Coordinate with facility representatives to minimize disruption to courthouse operations. REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role managing complex interior renovations (tenant fit-outs, hospitals, labs, animal facilities, restaurants, or other MEP-intensive environments). Proven ability to lead independently with minimal supervision, particularly in off-hours environments. OSHA 30 certification required; CQM (Construction Quality Management) certification strongly preferred. Federal government project experience and active project portfolio spanning 10–15 years highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail; able to represent the contractor in a high-profile setting. Must demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and leadership under pressure.
