Job Description

Hope Power & Industrial Inc. headquartered in Greenville, SC is a specialty talent resource provider to contractors, industrial facilities and power plants. One of our high-profile industrial contractor customers has immediate need in Upstate, SC area for candidates to fill a position as  Industrial Mechanical Supervisor to be responsible for directing and supervising industrial projects multi trade crews consisting of MW/Rigging, Piping, Ironworkers, welding, duct systesm, etc. Travel or Relocation expense is (NOT) available for this position>

 An Industrial Mechanical Superintendent oversees all mechanical construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining quality and coordinating with subcontractors and other trades. 

  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Supervisor Management:
    • Planning, assigning, and overseeing mechanical installation activities. 
       
    • Developing and updating mechanical work schedules, coordinating daily tasks, and allocating labor. 
       
    • Ensuring installation and inspection objectives are met safely. 
       
    • Managing project build schedule, quality control, and subcontractor coordination. 
       
    • Ensuring and controlling products in place meet plans and specifications. 
       
  • Supervision and Coordination:
    • Directing and motivating mechanical crews, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and resolving issues. 
       
    • Coordinating mechanical work with civil, electrical, and control subcontractors. 
       
    • Ensuring all on-site employees comply with safety standards and work rules. 
       
    • Conducting daily coordination meetings with contractors. 
       
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensuring workmanship conforms to specifications and meets construction schedules. 
       
    • Inspecting work in progress to ensure quality. 
       
    • Identifying potential change orders. 
       
  • Safety:
    • Enforcing job site policies, procedures, and standards. 
       
    • Conducting weekly safety meetings. 
       
    • Meeting regularly with engineers and inspectors regarding work progress and issues. 
       
  • Cost Management:
    • Overseeing collection of timecards and tracking cost codes. 
       
    • Assisting with construction estimating, scheduling, cost control, and reporting. 
       
    • Managing project costs. 
       
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Managing material on site. 
       
    • Coordinating with process equipment vendors at start-up. 
       
    • Managing customer relations. 
       
    • Ensuring all work orders are responded to and closed in a timely manner. 
       
    • Follows up with residents to ensure work orders were completed to their satisfaction. 
  •  Responsible for leading all crews and working with the crew on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for day-to-day safety of the crew
  • Responsible for completion of daily timesheets including the work hours for each employee on the crew.
  • Requires min. 5-years of supervising heavy industrial projects
  • Requires current OSHA-30 training / certificate.
  • Requires some travel
  • Valid DL and dependable transportation
  • Requires clean background and able to pass drug screen
