Supply Chain Planner 5 Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Supply Chain Planner for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be eight months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: The main function of this role is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. A typical day involves reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, costs, and more. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Review and approve documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Review and approve documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities. Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. Revise production schedules, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions. Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments. Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Purpose of the Team: This team is responsible for managing supply chain operations to support data center demands. Daily and weekly tasks include releasing builder signals to system integrators to align production with demand, coordinating material flow into the integrator, and ensuring timely assembly and delivery of server racks. This coordination ensures that the data center receives the necessary infrastructure on schedule. Key Projects: This role will contribute to developing and managing the component strategy for warehouse operations, particularly focusing on component positioning and buffer target strategy. The individual will also be involved in internal system work related to skill alignment and is expected to have experience with Power BI for data analysis. While there is no single key project assigned, the role is integral to optimizing warehouse strategy and supporting supply chain operations. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in Power BI analysis 3 years of experience in supply planning and operations 3 years of understanding hardware components and BOM structures High school diploma or GED required. 10 years of related experience required. Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials. Strong ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
