Candidates for the position of Supportive Counselor CM must have a Bachelor's degree in a human services field of study. They should possess an understanding of client and facility safety, an understanding of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and the recovery process. The Supportive Counselor CM must understand and adhere to the standard operating procedures and directives of Clean & Clear Advantage, LLC. They must maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service, and leadership abilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides quality therapeutic care, treatment, and education, within the scope of their credentials, to all clients, families, and partners of clients who are enrolled in the treatment program.
- Completes all documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
- Assists with the assessment of new and existing clients when needed.
- Meet with clients on a weekly basis
- Assists with the discharge planning and discharge administration of clients on an ongoing basis
- Provides supportive counseling services that support the work of the primary therapist
- Provides ongoing case management services to all assigned clients and assists with case management services for other clients, as assigned by the Clinical Director
- Utilizes multiple modalities to assist in the treatment of substance use disorders
- Conducts daily group therapy sessions with assigned clients
- Assists with the completion of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria assessments as needed
- Follows all ethical standards pertinent to this job role
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills and utilizes these skills during all interactions
- Assists in training new clinical team members as needed
- Works to continuously increase knowledge and skill set as it relates to the treatment of substance use disorders
- Follows all policies and procedures
- Completes all tasks and assignments requested by the agency leadership team
