This is a remote position with occasional travel required. All candidates must be licensed and based in one of the following states: Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi, or Oklahoma.
Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Fidelity, Surety & Coverage business unit. This position will support the surety and construction team based in Collin County, TX, and will focus on litigation in state and federal courts, as well as counseling, contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
Key Qualifications:
Active Texas license or eligibility for admission via UBE
Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with attorneys, clients, and consultants
Legal or practical background in the construction industry
Experience handling construction disputes, mechanics liens, or drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts and documents
