Surgery Scheduler – Full-Time

Plano, TX | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic medical team in Plano, TX. This full-time, weekday position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient surgical operations and patient care coordination.

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures with physicians, patients, and surgical facilities
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative documentation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless workflow
• Handle billing and medical coding related to surgical procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families

• Minimum 3 years of experience in surgery scheduling in a medical office or hospital setting
• Strong background in office management and administrative support
• Proficient in medical billing and coding
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
• Familiarity with EMR systems; AthenaOne experience preferred but not required
• Medical Assistant certification highly desirable
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
