Join our team specializing in sustainable, water-efficient landscapes where you’ll work with native plants and help bring nature home. We install and maintain lush California-friendly landscapes. We focus on water efficiency. We don’t work with turf, tropical plants, or large commercial complexes or parking lots. We bring nature home. The ideal candidate will be familiar with native and drought-tolerant plants and works well independently or with a team. Takes initiative to learn and expand knowledge of current sustainability practices. Recognizes proper plant water needs and growth patterns for long-term viability. Possesses appropriate pruning skills. We want someone who loves plants, continuing education and is looking for a career not a job. This is a full-time position. Our team works a 4/40 work schedule, consisting of four ten-hour workdays per week and three days off. Compensation is between $20 and $25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Additional wage increase for certain certifications, such as lighting and irrigation. Responsibilities Establish and maintain native plants Monitor plant health and irrigation systems Perform pruning to maintain natural appearance Collaborate with team members to ensure sustainable practices Open to listening to and sharing new ideas around sustainable landscape practices Qualifications Experience in plant care Experience with native plants (preferred) Knowledge of irrigation systems (preferred) Ability to work outdoors in various conditions Owns car and has a valid Caifornia driver's license and insurance Works well independantly but also thrives in a team situation.
