Position: Journeyman Electrician (Full-Time)

As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll play a key role in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across commercial and light industrial projects. This is your chance to work on diverse projects, mentor apprentices, and grow your career with a company that values craftsmanship and safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality, efficient work aligned with Merit Electrical Group’s mission
  • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
  • Work with raceway and cable tray systems
  • Troubleshoot motors and control systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on wiring and systems
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
  • Supervise and train apprentices, ensuring work meets specifications
  • Maintain safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years of electrical experience
  • Strong knowledge of circuits, wiring, and electrical codes
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and working at heights
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent training
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks (Act 34, Act 114, Act 151)
