Switchboard Operator at Precision Healthcare Specialists

Our Urology Group focuses on advanced, compassionate treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions. We are seeking a professional and friendly Switchboard Operator to join our team and help ensure smooth communication across the practice.

Position Summary:
The Switchboard Operator is the first point of contact for patients, providers, and staff. This role is responsible for managing a high volume of incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and ensuring prompt, courteous service. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct high-volume inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  
• Route calls accurately to physicians, clinical staff, or administrative departments.
  
• Provide general information to patients regarding office hours, locations, and basic services.
  
• Relay urgent messages and follow communication protocols to ensure timely responses.
  
• Document and forward messages as required in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  
• Assist with paging and internal communication requests as needed.
  
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  
• Support front desk and administrative staff with overflow tasks when needed.

Monday-Friday 08:00am-04:30pm

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
• Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare call center, or switchboard operation preferred.
  
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and patient in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
