Responsibilities
The System Director, Pharmacy-Acute Care Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for pharmacy services across multiple acute care facilities/locations. This includes, but not limited to, ensuring safe and efficient medication management processes, adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, and evaluation and implementation of appropriate resources for safe, reliable processes. The System Director, Pharmacy-Acute Care Services is responsible for coordinating pharmacy services for acute care facilities, and integrating acute care pharmacy services within the enterprise to fulfill Norton Healthcare's strategic goals. This individual ensures that all staff are adequately trained and educated to safely and efficiently provide pharmacy care appropriate for the patient/family population served.

The System Director, Pharmacy-Acute Care Services is responsible for coordinating pharmacy services for acute care facilities, and integrating acute care pharmacy services within the enterprise to fulfill Norton Healthcare's strategic goals. This individual ensures that all staff are adequately trained and educated to safely and efficiently provide pharmacy care appropriate for the patient/family population served.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborates with pharmacy leadership and stakeholders in other departments to ensure safe, efficient pharmacy services are maintained throughout the health system.
- Provides strategic leadership and financial/operational oversight for acute care pharmacy facilities and services.
- Provides strategic leadership in all regulatory and compliance activities. This includes state and federal regulations, DNV accreditation standards, and 340B operational performance and compliance.
- Provides strategic leadership for supply chain initiatives, medication formulary and other cost savings/revenue generating initiatives
- Demonstrates expertise in Pharmacy practice and the mission of the pharmacy enterprise, including awareness of innovations in technology and practice in health system pharmacy.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years experience in an acute care pharmacy leadership role
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy college (BS or PharmD)
Desired:
- 3 years experience in multi-site or system level pharmacy leadership role
- Master degree in business, hospital administration, or pharmacy administration. ASHP Accredited Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program or equivalent practice experience
