Job Title: Systems Engineer (Mid / Senior / SME Levels) Location: Alexandria, VA & Chantilly, VA (On-site) Clearance Required: Top Secret / SCI Job Type: Full Time Job Overview We are hiring Systems Engineers at the Mid, Senior, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) levels to support enterprise-level geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities across mission-critical national security programs. The ideal candidates will apply strong systems engineering, architecture, integration, and mission analysis skills to guide the development, modernization, deployment, and optimization of complex systems across the Intelligence Community (IC). These roles directly support strategic planning, enterprise architecture, data interoperability, system integration, mission workflows, and the implementation of next-generation GEOINT capabilities. Key Responsibilities Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture design, system integration, verification and validation (IV&V), and sustainment. Develop and maintain system and interface requirements, architecture artifacts, ICDs, technical specifications, and engineering documentation. Participate in and/or lead technical reviews, milestone events, readiness assessments, and technical working groups. Collaborate with mission stakeholders, government customers, and contractor partners to ensure interoperability, scalability, and mission alignment. Apply and/or lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices using Cameo, SysML, and DoDAF/UAF modeling techniques. Analyze system performance, conduct trade studies, identify capability gaps, and recommend system improvements. Support integration of cloud-native and data-centric architectures (AWS / C2S / GovCloud). Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship (Due to clearance requirements) Active TS/SCI Clearance Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Security+ Certification Core Technical Requirements: Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes. Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) programs. Proficiency in MBSE tools and frameworks (e.g., Cameo, SysML, DoDAF, UAF). Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts effectively. Preferred / Desired Qualifications INCOSE SE Certifications (ASEP / CSEP / ESEP) CISSP, Security+, or equivalent cybersecurity credentials Experience with GEOINT mission systems and workflows Familiarity with AWS / C2S, cloud-native microservices, and containerized deployments Experience in Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps environments Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) Hands-on experience with enterprise data integration and interoperability standards
