Systems Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate have a strong understanding of industrial electrical and electronic control systems. This role will be responsible for the design, development, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of these systems. This role requires strong electrical and Programmable Logic Control(PLC, as well as VFD/HMI) troubleshooting skills. Prior working experience installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading logic control systems in a manufacturing environment is highly desired for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned Preventative maintenance and hardware repairs/upgrades on various systems and equipment.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
- Install and configure systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor and maintain IT security protocols to protect company data and infrastructure.
- Assist in the design and implementation of networking solutions, including troubleshooting connection issues.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on manufacturing and electrical systems.
- Support Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programming and maintenance activities.
- Engage in virtualization projects to enhance system performance and resource management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate HMI and VFD systems into operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives(VFDs) systems and programming.
- Proven experience in hardware repair and technical support.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols(switches and EthernetIP).
- Experience in modifying HMIs(Human Machine interfaces), tuning PIDs(Proportional-integral-derivative controllers), and winding machines.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
- Background in manufacturing maintenance and electrical systems.
- Experience with system installation and configuration.
- Familiarity with industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution.
