The team handles all aspects of tax controversy—from IRS examinations and administrative appeals to litigation in federal courts. The group regularly advises Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals across industries.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in tax controversy matters, including IRS audits, appeals, and litigation
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on strategic tax planning and dispute resolution
Draft briefs, motions, legal memoranda, and advise on litigation risk
Develop strong working relationships with clients, co-counsel, and government agencies
3–5 years of relevant tax controversy experience, including administrative proceedings and/or litigation
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong academic background from a top-tier law school
LLM in Taxation preferred, but not required
Must be admitted to the New York Bar or eligible for admission
