Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role is crucial for managing the organizations tax planning strategies and minimizing tax liabilities while providing expert advice on tax-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review the preparation and filing of various tax returns including 1120S, 1120, 1065, 1041, 1040, and 990PF.
  • Develop tax strategies for individuals and businesses to minimize liabilities and enhance tax efficiency.
  • Consult with clients on tax-related matters, including pass-through entities, high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), trusts, and gifts.
  • Conduct research on tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation for tax filings and planning activities.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in tax preparation and compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is nice to have.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tax return preparation for various entity types and individuals, including pass-through entities and high-net-worth clients.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
