Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role involves strategic tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure timely filing.
  • Coordinate audit processes with internal and external auditors regarding tax matters.
  • Conduct tax research to provide compliance support and strategic planning advice.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Oversee state and local tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax.
  • Ensure adherence to IRS regulations and accounting principles in all tax matters.
  • Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service in tax-related inquiries.
  • Lead the risk management process related to tax issues and compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that affect the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in tax management or related roles, with a focus on corporate tax.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with tax software and technology tools used for tax preparation and planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough tax research.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client management and collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
