Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Coordinate audit processes with internal and external auditors regarding tax matters.
- Conduct tax research to provide compliance support and strategic planning advice.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
- Oversee state and local tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax.
- Ensure adherence to IRS regulations and accounting principles in all tax matters.
- Manage client relationships and provide exceptional service in tax-related inquiries.
- Lead the risk management process related to tax issues and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that affect the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tax management or related roles, with a focus on corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with tax software and technology tools used for tax preparation and planning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough tax research.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client management and collaboration across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
