Tax Senior
--This role will be mainly remote but occasional office visits will be required. Candidates must live within a 3-hour commute of Goshen, Indiana and expect to come in person for a couple weeks of training and then visit regularly during tax season. Quarterly or semi annual visits to the office following tax season--
Established in 1981 and locally owned, we are a TOP public accounting firm in Indiana with multiple locations. Work life balance is important to us and we are looking to bring on a Tax Senior to our team.
Position Overview
We're looking for a Tax Senior who is currently reviewing tax returns with a strong accounting background to support our growing client advisory services team. The Tax Senior will also interact with clients and the client advisory services team to coordinate the delivery of tax returns, conduct tax research, and develop and implement tax saving strategies. They will also supervise other tax team members and review their work for technical accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax issues to clients
- Assist in the development of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
- Supervise and train junior staff on tax compliance and reporting
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accurate tax reporting
- Stay updated on tax legislation and changes to ensure compliance and inform clients
- Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and concerns
Qualifications
- Prior public tax accounting experience
- CPA license is preferred (or in pursuit of)
- 4+ years of experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns and managing client relationships
- Other relevant skills include supervision experience, strong verbal and written communication skills, experience conducting tax research and ability to work collaboratively
Benefits
- $65,000 - $90,000 base salary DOE
- Salary based on full time of 2,300 hours

- 4 weeks of PTO up front - bumped up to 5 weeks after 2 years
- Office is closed on Fridays between Memorial Day and Labor Day
