Tax Senior

Job Title: Tax Senior
Salary: $85k - $110k (DOE)
Requirements: 3+ Years of Public Accounting Tax
Job Location: Cary, NC  

Position Overview
The Tax Senior is responsible for managing tax compliance and consulting engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves overseeing the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and providing tax planning advice to clients. The Tax Senior will also mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall success of the tax department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements for clients.
  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for various entities.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Research and analyze tax issues and provide solutions to clients' challenges.
  • Mentor and train junior tax staff on tax procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and changes in regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA designation required or CPA candidate status preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Experience with CCH tax software or similar tax preparation software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
