About the Role

The Tax Senior II position is suited for individuals with 4-8 years of public accounting experience, a CPA license, and a degree in accounting or a master's degree with a tax or accounting specialization. Professionals at this level are expected to:

  • Understand and apply firm policies and procedures effectively.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise sufficient to supervise and guide staff accountants.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on long-term loyalty.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Primary Responsibilities

When assigned to tax engagements, the Tax Senior II will:

  • Demonstrate mastery of relevant Internal Revenue Code (IRC) sections and regulations, and proactively share updates with the team.
  • Conduct thorough tax research using available reference sources and tools.
  • Identify training needs for staff and initiate in-house or external training sessions.
  • Begin managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing tax return preparation and other tax-related engagements for those clients.
