This role is crucial for managing the compliance process and leading a small team, requiring deep technical knowledge of S-Corps, Partnerships, and Individual tax law across specialized industries. Location: Remote (USA) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire with Benefits. Key Responsibilities (Implied): Tax Compliance: Oversee and manage tax preparation and review for a diverse client base, primarily focusing on S-Corporations (1120S), Partnerships (1065), and Individuals (1040). Team Leadership: Utilize 2+ years of experience managing a small team of tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax engagements. Technical Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of direct tax law to complex scenarios within the professional services, technology, real estate, and financial services industries. Process Optimization: Actively work to simplify and optimize complex tax processes to drive efficiency in a startup environment. Communication: Serve as a clear communicator, providing guidance and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Qualifications & Mandatory Skills: The following professional credentials and experience levels are mandatory for this leadership role: 7+ years of work experience with S-Corporations (1120S), Partnerships (1065), and Individuals (1040). 2+ years of experience managing a small team of tax preparers. A CPA, EA, or tax attorney credential. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation. Strong knowledge of direct tax law. Enthusiasm for a fast-paced startup environment. Nice-to-Have Experience: Experience with corporations (1120), estate planning, trusts, and gifts. Private equity and venture capital (funds) experience.
