This position is for a paraprofessional to support educational staff in a school setting located in Simi Valley, CA. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, helping students with learning and social development, and providing support tailored to student needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional plans and classroom activities
- Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Support students with special needs, ensuring their participation and inclusion
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Monitor and report on student progress, behaviors, and challenges
- Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents as appropriate
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in an educational setting
- Ability to work effectively with children exhibiting various learning abilities and needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude toward student development
- Familiarity with classroom technology and learning management systems is a plus
- Valid paraprofessional certification or equivalent training preferred
