ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for the teaching of needed methods courses at the Undergraduate and Applied Masters level, including Introduction to Econometrics and Analysis of Economic Data (a primer course for econometrics), as well as other upper-division courses. A documented history of successful teaching in methods-related courses is required, and faculty with interest in methods-related and macroeconomics upper division teaching are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Economics
 - Completion of all doctoral requirements by August 1, 2026
 - Strong track record of teaching methodology courses for consideration at the SF-2 level.
 - An established record of successful teaching at the university level, commensurate with the rank being sought, and a demonstrated ability to teach and participate in the Department's undergraduate program.
 
Experience in econometrics, statistical methods, and intermediate theory.
Other InformationThe Department of Economics is the largest department in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy. We have 32 full-time faculty and an active research program. At the undergraduate level, we offer an economics major, economics minor, as well as several specialized studies programs. At the graduate level, we offer both an MS program and a PhD program. Our MS program has a strong applied focus and is designed to be completed in twelve months. Our PhD program has graduated over 250 doctoral students since 1967. Through coursework and fieldwork, students gain knowledge, skills, and academic credential needed for careers in business, government, academy, and the private sector.
