WHO WE ARE HIRING: Technical Documentation Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Our Technical Documentation Specialist will posses demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure, have a can-do attitude and be willing to solve difficult problems. You will have a strong command of the English language, a deep understanding of technical environments specifically in regard to EDI and HIT, and be excellent with both oral and written communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Author technical documentation (or edit and update existing documents) for the design and architecture of our SaaS product to meet the documentation requirements of each client on every project.
  • Edit or proofread material for purpose, clarity, completeness, grammar, and consistency between documents.
  • Document complex program and system needs for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Revises, rewrites, or reorganizes written materials to ensure conformance with customer requirements as well as corporate standards.
  • Lead large, high-profile, or high-risk internal or customer-facing review and remediation meetings to resolve document issues, concerns or shortcomings.
  • Perform administrative activities associated with projects including scheduling, creating meeting documentation, forecasting efforts, status reporting, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to update or create high-quality program documentation: customer deliverables, plans, presentations, standard operating procedures, metrics/measures, requirements, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible, work in a changing environment, and must be able to handle demands of managing concurrent projects of various size and scope and complete high-quality work.
  • Comply with program security requirements and adheres to ethical business standards and practices.
  • Maintain knowledge and documentation of operational and system processes.
  • Participate in the administration of project and program contract activities, including preparation for internal and external meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define problems and implement solutions.
  • Create, review, and present program documents, including requirement traceability matrices, business and software specifications, process flows, and test cases.
  • Assist in the analysis of data and the specification of report packages for internal and external audiences.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Technical Writing or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in the healthcare, HHS, CMS, MMIS or like, preferred.
  • EDI Analyst experience
  • Experience with state or government clients
  • Experience creating and/or reviewing and editing documentation such as user guides, technical guides, templates, training materials, program plans, fact sheets, status reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly), etc.
  • Ability to analyze and present technical information to a variety of audiences, including technical experts, management, and the public.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy is required.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Smartsheet, MS Project, Control Center and O365) and Adobe Professional is preferred.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be flexible and detail oriented while understanding the broader organizational objectives and strategies.
  • Selected candidates will be required to submit examples of business writing.
  • Experience with either Federal CMS or State MMIS projects.
