Job Title: Technical Product Owner (Supply Chain / Manufacturing/Planning) Job Location: Saint Louis, MO 63118 (5 day in the Office) Job Duration: 6 months Contract Pay Rate: $52.00/hr to $56.00/hr Job Description: We are hiring to bring in a highly skilled Product Owner who can drive advanced production planning and forecasting initiatives, leveraging O9 to optimize supply chain and manufacturing efficiency. You will serve as the subject matter expert on O9-based production planning, building and managing end-to-end MRP solutions while enabling data-driven decision-making at scale. Must Haves: 5+ years of experience in production planning, forecasting, or supply chain solutions. Hands-on expertise with O9 planning software. Proven ability to independently design and implement MRP solutions. Strong technical acumen with experience working in data-heavy or backend environments. Demonstrated success as a product owner or similar role in manufacturing or CPG contexts. Plusses: Ability to code within O9. Background in data science or advanced analytics. Experience working with stakeholders in the St. Louis market or similar regional manufacturing hubs. Day To Day: Own and refine the product vision for production planning and forecasting solutions within O9. Design, develop, and implement advanced MRP plans independently, ensuring scalability and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate O9 solutions into broader supply chain and manufacturing operations. Analyze data and translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions, bridging the between operations and technology. Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders, driving adoption of O9 best practices. What is O9? O9 Solutions is a cloud-based AI-driven planning and decision-making platform used heavily by consumer packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, and supply chain–driven organizations. It helps companies model complex supply chains, forecast demand, plan production, and align operations with business objectives. Think of it as a next-generation alternative to traditional ERP/MRP planning tools, but with far more flexibility, analytics, and automation. Notes: What to look for: Strong understanding of business KPIs, stakeholder management, roadmaps, and product management Experience or familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub, and Azure Exposure to o9 (big plus) and IDP / o9 language Ideal background: Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Product Owner / Product Manager experience Working knowledge of Python and SQL If the candidate isn’t highly technical, prioritize those degrees so they can ramp up quickly. Data science experience is also a plus.
