Position Summary: Technicians are responsible for the installation, termination, testing, labeling, CAT5/6 copper, and fiber cabling and patch systems. Implement cutting-edge security solutions, ensuring our systems are not only robust and compliant with the latest industry standards but also tailored to meet the unique needs of our operations. This position involves handling complex installations and maintenance tasks, and you will have the opportunity for learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of IP devices such as Access Points, Access control devices, intercoms, Cameras, A/V equipment and turnkey structured cabling.
 - Service and perform preventive maintenance on low voltage systems.
 - Inspect and diagnose problems in control equipment.
 - Troubleshoot electrical issues using various testing devices.
 - Disassemble and remove electrical products or door hardware.
 - Ensure the production of quality results in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
 - Installation and termination of cabling and conduit (including Cat5/6, power, fiber, and analog/digital voice).
 - Provide testing, analysis, and repair of video, voice, and data systems, including electronic devices such as gateways, routers, hubs, NIC cards, and telephone switches.
 - Test and inspect Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboards to applicable standards.
 - Use a multimeter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit designs, ensuring proper wiring and operation.
 - Utilize various tools testing.
 - Perform inspections/audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
 - Maintain and report records related to testing and inspecting activities.
 - Install, terminate, and dress low-voltage cabling at client job sites.
 - Assist in the build-out and configuration of infrastructure and equipment rooms.
 - Troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling and connectivity issues.
 
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of applicable codes for the supporting of low voltage cabling systems
 - Understanding of the need for ongoing education for both current and future skill sets
 - Installation of cable support systems
 - Plan cable pathways
 - Monitor and follow safety practice for themselves and others
 - Mount location boxes
 
- At least 3+ years of experience installing voice and data systems in a commercial environment
 - Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards a plus
 - Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
 - Must adhere to OSHA safety standards
 - Must have /knowledge of color codes (
