We are hiring a Tool & Die Maker in our Claremont, NC.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
In a team environment, support New Product Introduction (NPI) Projects and initiatives, including the fabrication of Tooling, Fixturing, and injection molds, required for R&D Engineering product functions.
- In addition to mastery of operation of Manual Mills, Bandsaw, Belt Sander, Drill Press, and Lathe; demonstrate a mastery ability on multiple specialized pieces of equipment: CNC Mills, Sink or Wire EDM, EDM Hole Driller, Surface Grinders, and 3D Printers in a Safe and Efficient manner in an R&D environment.
- Study and comprehend drawings and manipulate CAD files to determine the process and sequence required for completing assigned tasks.
- Utilizing one or more Software packages, create efficient executable CNC programs for Shop equipment by interpreting provided Design files for tooling, fixtures, and Molds.
- Build, troubleshoot, and maintain prototype and limited production injection molds, constructing them to the part tolerances required. Additionally, build Fixtures, Assembly Tooling, and Equipment to support NPI R&D activities.
- Actively participate in 5S+1 initiatives in the lab to maintain an organized and safe environment in compliance with NPI standards.
- Perform periodic Operator Preventative Maintenance on equipment, structures, or materials to determine the cause of errors, problems, or defects.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Associate’s in related curriculum such as Machine Tool Technology (Tool and Die)
- Ten or more years of experience
- Proactively perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision to effectively complete projects within the given timeframe.
