Position Summary

The Temporary Cable Assembler plays a crucial role in the Consumer Support Services industry by ensuring the accurate and efficient assembly of various cable products. This position focuses on assembling cables according to detailed specifications and quality standards to support the production and distribution processes. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to guarantee that all cables meet safety and performance requirements before they reach customers. Working in a fast-paced environment, the assembler will contribute to maintaining production schedules and minimizing downtime. Ultimately, this position supports the overall customer satisfaction by delivering reliable and high-quality cable assemblies within the designated timeframe.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assemble cables and wiring harnesses according to provided blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Inspect assembled cables for defects, continuity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools and assembly equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and productivity.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and resolve any assembly issues.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and cable assembly processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for temporary assignments.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cable assembly or a related manufacturing role.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety standards in manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Ability to use testing equipment such as multimeters.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
