Job Description*Responsible for establishing and maintaining liaison relationships with government and contractor personnel to ensure effective coordination of all project efforts.
*Ability to access, interpret and apply Government and industry standards, specifications, and SDLC.
* Creates test plans, test cases and automated test scripts
* Develops and executes regression test suites to evaluate functionality, performance, scalability, security and reliability of the application
* Shares test scripts as needed with other testing entities
* May perform business analysis dutiesto determineacceptance criteria
* Participates in requirements reviews, design reviews, and change control activities
* Documents and reports issues discovered during testing and follows through to resolution
* Performs as a member of an Agile Scrum Team, conducting and effectively participating in sprint planning, task estimates, task sequencing, task assignments, sprint reviews and retrospectives
* Utilizes automated testing tools
* Writes automation code for functional testing
* Supports testing and management of database schemas
* Executes validation/regression/smoke tests within environments
* Participates in the Change Control and Release Management process
* Performs Ad-Hoc/Exploratory, Session Based, Vulnerability/Security, and Negative Testing. Actively communicates issues with the rest of the team to resolve them in timely fashion
*This position is 90% work from home with minimal travel to Austin 2-4 times a year. Candidates MUST live within 3 hours of Austin/Dallas Texas.*
Qualifications* 2-3 Years overall experience in manual software testing
*Experience in Water Fall and/or Agile development environments
*Experience with automated testing tools
* Understanding ofthe software development life cycle and the flexibility to execute it using a Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid methodology
* Scripting or coding experience
* Professional experience with relational database products; Oracle experience is preferred
* Experience with section 508 testing
* Thorough understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
* Experience in all phases of functional, regression, acceptance & performance testing.
* Experience executing test cases and analyzing results
* Experience in identifying, isolating and documenting system deficiencies in a clear, concise manner
*3 years of demonstrated testing experience in Continuous Integration (CI) , Automated Testing (AT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* SQL experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to present information to both client management and technical resources
Desired Skills:
*Self motivated with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment, work across organizational departments and instill confidence with the client through work quality, time management & organizational skills and responsiveness
*PMP Certification
*Prior experience leading project teams as a deputy to the project manager
* Scripting background to be able to automate plugin integration with various automated test tools.
