The Center for Technology, Innovation & Competition Fellowship
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Open Date: May 11, 2022
Deadline:
The Center for Technology, Innovation & Competition (CTIC) invites applications for a CTIC Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School starting immediately upon hiring. It is a one-year appointment with the potential for a one-year extension. The fellow will work with Professor Christopher Yoo and project partners supporting CTIC's research and projects.
Responsibilities of the fellow will include but are not limited to:
- Clean and manage large datasets
- Conduct statistical analyses of data using R/Stata
- Prepare literature reviews, background research, and other draft content for grant proposals and academic papers
- Draft project reports, research protocols, and other project documents
- Prepare presentations for large venues - e.g., U.N. bodies
- Organize events in international venues
- Represent the project on conference calls and email discussions with various stakeholders
- Maintain project website
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate degree in Business, Decision Sciences, Data Sciences, Computer Science, Information Science, Informatics, Communications, International Development, Public Policy or related fields with substantial quantitative coursework
- Strong technical, analytic, computational, and writing skills
- Prior research or professional experience related to ICT4D
- Proficiency programming in R or Stata
- Willingness to travel
Preferred
- Familiarity with financial modeling
