Job Description

Title: Tissue Bank Technologist II Location: Onsite, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 Type: Direct-Hire/Permanent Hours: Monday – Friday. No weekends. Shift will eventually be 10 am – 6:30 p,m during the 3-6 month training period, it will be 7 am – 5 pm Start: ASAP Overview: Join a vital institutional team supporting the collection, processing, and distribution of human biospecimens. In this role, you’ll coordinate and process tissue samples from surgical and autopsy cases, manage inventory and data entry, and serve as a key contact for tissue bank technicians. Responsibilities Reviewing the Operating Room schedule to identify cases eligible for researcher projects. Working closely with the Department of Pathology, the incumbent will collect, process, disburse, and store human biological materials based on established protocols. Processing may include but is not limited to aliquoting blood products, gross dissection of tissue. Routine data entry into specimen inventory system for the collection, receipt, disbursement, and storage of each sample Ordering lab supplies. Requirements Bachelor's degree 2 years of relevant experience Experience using a centrifuge #M3 Ref: #558-Scientific
