We are seeking a detail-oriented Drone Assembler/Purchasing Assistant to join our production team. He/she will primarily be responsible for assembling large quadcopters and hexacopters using pre-manufactured components. This is a non-engineering, non-R&D position focused on mechanical and systems assembly according to clearly defined, step-by-step instructions. Assemblers will also perform basic functional tests on equipment and compare results to standards as detailed in assembly instructions. Unique to this role, we are seeking someone familiar with supply or raw material purchasing.
This role does not include new product development, design modifications, or post-production troubleshooting.

Youll accomplish this work from our assembly shop in Daytona Beach, Florida.

We also offer pet insurance and other voluntary benefits.Please see our website atwww.central.comfor additional company information.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assemble large agricultural drone platforms (quadcopters and hexacopters) using pre-manufactured structural, electronic, and mechanical components
 - Build drone frames using modular components according to provided instructions
 - Install flight controllers, GPS units, antennas, motors, electronic control components, power distribution systems, and other subsystems as directed
 - Route and secure cabling, connectors, and wiring harnesses to maintain clean and safe layouts in line with build documentation
 - Install and connect payload systems such as sprayers, sensors, or cameras (when applicable to model)
 - Verify proper alignment and fit of components during installation to ensure assembly meets defined tolerances
 - Upload pre-configured software or parameters to drone systems using a computer, following clear step-by-step guides
 - Perform basic pre-flight functional tests (e.g., motor tests, LED function, system power checks, firmware version confirmation) and verify results match provided standards
 - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of drone components
 - Identify and report any discrepancies, missing parts, or issues with components
 - Process purchase orders accurately and promptly
 - Track orders and follow up with vendors on delivery status
 - Maintain purchasing files, records, and supplier information
 - Review invoices, receipts, and delivery notes for accuracy
 - Assist with inventory checks and reorder supplies as directed
 - Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and ensure quality standards are maintained
 
- High attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual instructions precisely
 - Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hex wrenches)
 - Basic soldering skills
 - Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
 - Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines; good communication & organizational skills
 - High School Diploma or equivalent; no college degree required
 - Prior experience with mechanical or electronics assembly
 - Previous administrative or purchasing experience preferred but not required
 - Comfortable using basic computer systems (Excel, Word, email) and able to follow software installation/upload steps
 
- Experience assembling drones, RC vehicles, or similar electromechanical systems
 - Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications and software
 
- Regular standing, sitting, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis), and handling of large, medium, and small sized components
 - This position is based in a low (audio) volume, indoor assembly setting.This position requires the frequent use of a computer, small hand tools, (soldering, hot glue gun, hand tools)
 - Primary shifts are during daytime hours, but availability for evening or night shifts may be required in the future based on production demand
 - Strong teamworking skills through collaborative problem solving
