Job Description
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL is seeking a Vascular/Endovascular Neurosurgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This position is a key member of our growing regional neurosurgical program. Reporting to the Chair of Neurosurgery, Bruce Frankel, MD, this is an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance an academic Neurosurgery program in Illinois. Our regional presence includes collaborations with St. John’s and Springfield Memorial Hospital as teaching and patient care sites.
Springfield Memorial Hospital has one of the nation’s largest and technologically advanced facilities, the Memorial Center for Learning, where the SIU Surgical Skills Training Center is located. These resources further expand SIU’s mission to be a national leader for excellence in healthcare learning and innovation.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery. Illinois licensure is required prior to official start date. Successful completion of a Neurosurgical Fellowship is preferred.
