Job Details:

The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time visiting lecturer of French for the spring 2026 semester, beginning in January 2026. This position is benefit eligible. The successful candidate will teach five courses in our basic language program; there are no service responsibilities. Required qualifications: •Master’s degree (or a minimum of 18 graduate credits) in French, French and Francophone Studies, or a closely related field;•Experience teaching language and culture courses to students from a broad range of majors at a US institution of higher education;• and near-native fluency in French Candidates should complete the online application at: https://jobs.coastal.edu/postings/120413 with a letter of application, a current CV, copies of all transcripts, contact information for three references. Teaches students in the classroom and/or laboratory. Prepares each course and/or lab assigned). Communicates to students after reviewing assignments. Tracks and reports absences during the designated period as directed by the Office of the Registrar. Calculates and assigns grades (midterm and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University Catalog.
