The Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time visiting lecturer of French for the spring 2026 semester, beginning in January 2026. This position is benefit eligible. The successful candidate will teach five courses in our basic language program; there are no service responsibilities. Teaches students in the classroom and/or laboratory. Prepares each course and/or lab assigned). Communicates to students after reviewing assignments. Tracks and reports absences during the designated period as directed by the Office of the Registrar. Calculates and assigns grades (midterm and final) through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual and University Catalog.

Posts and holds office hours per College guidelines.

Conducts research to create and add to knowledge in a field, including the advancement of new theories and principles to improve educational effectiveness.

Engages in University-related activities including committee assignments, meetings and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual.

Performs other departmental needs as assigned.
