The Welding Adjunct Instructor is a position housed at the Advanced Manufacturing and Training Center (AMTC) near TSC's main campus. The Adjunct Instructor's major function is to effectively lead the evening welding program, creating an ideal learning environment, maintaining an appropriate balance of discipline, and being able to transfer knowledge to students, while staying abreast of evolving regulations within the industry. The Welding Adjunct Instructor must be dependable, highly responsible, independent, self-starting, and have the ability to interact with a diverse student population.
- Provides a teaching environment (lecture, group, or individual) targeting a diverse population resulting in earning AWS certifications. Educates and trains students to gain skills necessary to be successful as a welder and meet established goals related to student performance.
- Provides administrative support for course logistics (i.e. scheduling and curriculum development) and oversight of student support services (e.g. advisement, orientation, job placement) for students in the evening program.
- Works with the Program Manager and Program Specialist to coordinate the maintenance of student performance profiles, other audit records, attendance records, and grades for the evening program.
