Wheel Repair Technician - Jaguar Land Rover North Dade at Warren Henry Automotive Group

The Wheel Repair Technician functions as a skilled technician using tools and techniques to restore wheels and wheel covers.

• Performs repair work as outlined related to wheel repair and restoration, including cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels).
• Paints surfaces, inspect wheels, prep and buff defects, mix colors and finish.
• Mount and balance tires as needed.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicates with service advisor and customers immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for spray machine and all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum three years of related experience and/or training in alloy wheel repair.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Flexibility to work various hours and weekends.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments.
• Automotive Painting experience is a plus.
