Job Title: Machine Operator – Contract to Hire

Location: Lexington, Virginia

Pay Range: $24–$27/hour

Shifts Available:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating sheet-metal brake presses and tube benders to form metal components in accordance with technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tooling configurations and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal brake presses and tube-bending equipment
• Form metal components of varying sizes and materials
• Interpret part prints and accurately use measuring devices
• Apply appropriate tooling configurations with limited guidance
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures
• Ensure quality and precision in all formed parts

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, panel wiring, electrical assembly, or a related field
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Familiarity with electrical codes, wiring standards, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pressure testing, leak detection, and chiller systems
• Knowledge of PLC wiring and troubleshooting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $30.35/hr.
