About the Role: Natera is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Operations to join our high-performing BizOps team. This role will drive strategic insights, optimize processes, create scalable reporting solutions, and manage cross-functional projects. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring intuitive reporting and impactful processes.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, strategic vision, and a proactive mindset to deliver scalable, sustainable, and actionable data solutions. Examples of topics we’ve worked on: increasing patient / physician retention, lowering test turnaround time, driving cross-functional market outreach for new products, measuring inside sales success, and developing self-service reporting data tools. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Process Development

  • Identify broken or inefficient processes and propose solutions. Lead solution development and rollout. This role has similarities to a solution architect. 
  • Facilitate VP-level working groups to drive cross-functional processes.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders to anticipate reporting needs and proactively design solutions.
  • Shift teams from reactive to proactive reporting by delivering scalable and user-friendly tools.
  • Support stakeholders in understanding data structures and gaining autonomy in reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams and IT/Engineering, translating non-technical requirements into actionable solutions.

Data Architecture & Modeling

  • Address data relationship inconsistencies and optimize data pipelines for seamless reporting.
  • Minimize manual data entry by standardizing data elements, processes, and relationships.

Strategic Data Leadership

  • Where possible, inform the strategic direction of data architecture across applications.
  • Identify overlapping application needs across teams to streamline reporting and application use.
  • Provide expertise in system configuration and reporting best practices..

Data Governance

  • Champion data governance best practices, including stewardship and lifecycle management.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in data modeling, business intelligence, or data architecture, including healthcare or diagnostics experience.
  • Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Lucidchart).
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikSense).
  • Strong SQL skills and database management experience (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server).
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with VP-level engagement.
  • Familiarity with integrated ecosystems like Salesforce, Workday, LIMS, Smartsheet, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus:

  • Experience in healthcare/biotech industries; oncology experience is a major plus.
  • Background in consulting with a focus on data-driven or operational projects.
  • Knowledge of diagnostics workflows, including LIMS and clinical trial databases.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python) for data workflows.
  • Experience with code repositories and version control systems.

 

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
