Senior Data Scientist

Impact 

As a Senior Data Scientist on the Dynamic Pricing team at Shipt, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing advanced experiments for Shipt pricing models and implementing cutting edge models in collaboration with product, business, and engineering teams to solve key challenges across multiple pricing domains at Shipt.  On this highly visible team, you will be the subject matter expert in experimentation focused on validating the impact of pricing and algorithmic changes to key business metrics and presenting recommendations to key stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to work on our cutting edge ML models. 

What You’ll Need to Be Successful 

• 4+ years of experience in applying statistics and machine learning in an industry setting, with a track record of delivering impactful results 

• PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field 

• Experience with experiment design, rollout, analysis and reporting 

• 4+ years Python development 

• Experience presenting to stakeholders 

• Experience leading key technical projects and substantially influencing the scope and output of others 

Work Arrangement 

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City:  

$121,487-$242,974 

All other locations: 

$101,239-$202,478
