Sales Support Specialists are a vital part of our Retirement Division, working closely with Internal and External Wholesalers to grow our life insurance and annuity business. This role is a strong starting point for a long-term career—many team members have successfully transitioned into Wholesaler positions through our promote-from-within culture. You’ll receive the training, tools, and dedicated study time needed to meet licensing requirements and grow your career with us.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Internal and External Wholesalers to support territory sales through meetings and calls
  • Respond to product inquiries, create illustrations, track pending applications, and fulfill marketing and sales material requests
  • Collaborate on outbound calling campaigns to promote new products and uncover new sales opportunities
  • Monitor and manage the progress of submitted business, keeping internal teams and external advisors informed
  • Serve as a key resource on the Sales Desk, assisting financial advisors with product info, rate updates, illustration requests, and service-related questions

Who You Are

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Able to pass both a criminal background check and credit check
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes
  • Interested in sales and motivated to grow into a more advanced sales role
  • Skilled at problem-solving, multitasking, and thinking on your feet
  • Strong communicator with a sharp eye for detail
  • Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Willing and able to obtain required licensing within 2–4 months if not already licensed
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, service mindset, and personal integrity
  • Builds solid relationships with teammates, internal partners, and customers alike
  • Must complete and pass the Life and Disability license exam within the first week of employment

Licensing Requirements

  • Life and Disability license (to be completed within the first week of employment)
  • Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses (to be obtained upon hire or within four months):
    Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
    Series 6
    Series 63

Compensation
Pay Range: $22.00 – $36.23 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
