Position Overview

This work from home Pricing Analyst role involves developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability and strengthen competitive market positioning. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies align with overall business goals, providing insights and recommendations that drive business success.

Pricing Analyst Responsibilities

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive market research to understand competitive pricing strategies and market trends
• Analyze historical pricing data and market conditions to forecast future pricing trends
• Monitor competitor pricing strategies and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential threats
• Perform market segmentation analysis and customer behavior studies

Pricing Strategy & Revenue Optimization

• Develop pricing models and strategies based on market insights, cost analysis, and business objectives
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align pricing strategies with promotional activities and sales goals
• Implement dynamic pricing strategies to optimize revenue across various customer segments and sales channels
• Create price elasticity models and demand forecasting models

Financial Analysis & Modeling

• Perform detailed financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing decisions on profitability and revenue
• Use statistical and analytical tools to evaluate pricing effectiveness and price elasticity
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management to support strategic decision-making
• Develop ROI analysis and profit margin assessments for pricing initiatives

Data Analytics & Database Management

• Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Utilize data analytics software to manage large datasets and generate actionable business insights
• Ensure data integrity and security in all pricing-related information systems
• Create automated reporting dashboards for pricing performance tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with product development teams to understand cost structures and product value propositions
• Provide pricing guidance and support to sales teams during contract negotiations and customer interactions
• Liaise with finance and accounting departments to ensure pricing strategies align with financial goals and compliance requirements
• Support business development initiatives with competitive pricing analysis

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track and analyze the performance of pricing strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing effectiveness
• Generate regular reports on pricing performance and present findings to stakeholders
• Conduct post-implementation reviews of pricing initiatives

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (Certified Pricing Professional, CFA, FRM) preferred
• Proven experience as Pricing Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar analytical role
• Experience in market research and competitive analysis

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling and data analysis
• Experience with data analysis tools: SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar statistical software
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills to assess pricing strategies
• Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred
• Knowledge of database management systems

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range

Expected Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 (dependent on experience) Competitive pay based on role requirements and experience, not previous salary history.
