About the role:
Primary responsibilities include building tools and products that boost data science productivity, support self-serve analytics, and ensure data reliability and quality—specifically focused on blockchain data.

More specifically

• Design data models that help data scientists effectively analyze blockchain data.
• Build pipelines and tools to transform blockchain data from APIs, files, and databases into clean, usable formats.
• Develop systems to measure and enforce data quality, ensuring reliability and completeness.
• Apply creative problem-solving and blockchain knowledge to develop heuristics and models that explain on-chain activity.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, ML teams, and analytics partners to stay aligned on priorities and outcomes.
• Support self-serve analytics by making blockchain data accessible and easy to work with for stakeholders.

What we look for in you:

• Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including blocks, transactions, token transfers, contract calls, account vs. UTXO models, and labeling practices.
• Proficiency in Python, with additional experience in Go or other modern languages used in data-intensive environments.
• Expert-level SQL skills for querying, transformation, and performance tuning; familiarity with graph or key-value databases is a plus.
• Experience with data compute frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Beam is beneficial.
• Proven ability to design and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale batch and streaming data processing.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing DAGs using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Strong visualization skills using Superset, Hex, Looker, or Python libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Solid grasp of data modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas, with bonus points for experience in blockchain or financial data.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical solutions, with strong documentation practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles such as unit testing, CI/CD, version control, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical knowledge of prompt engineering and AI tools, including use of LLMs, embeddings, and vector search in applied workflows.

Compensation & Benefits:
Total compensation includes a base salary (varies by location), plus target bonus, equity, and full benefits—medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay Range: $207,000—$244,000 USD
